Although she was born in the tropical municipality of West Palm Beach, the most populous city in Palm Beach County, Florida; national bestselling novelist, Kendra Norman-Bellamy, spent most of her formative years living in Dixie, Georgia, a southern, rural, farm town community that  still, to date, cannot be found on most maps. She is the third of five children born to Bishop H.H. Norman and Mrs. B. Francine Norman.

Educated in the school systems of Brooks County (Quitman, GA), Kendra is an alumnus of Brooks County High School.  She  later graduated   from  Valdosta   Technical
College (Valdosta, GA) where she majored in Technology (Information Technology)  and  was  inducted  into  the   National Vocational Technical Honor Society.

In addition to writing novels, Kendra is also founder and president of KNB Publications, LLC. She has been a reoccurring columnist for several national print magazines and is a member of the national organization, American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) where she served as a past Georgia Area Coordinator. She is also a motivational speaker and facilitator, most recognized for her much applauded signature 4-part aspiring writers series, "The Writer's Cocoon." In 2005, Kendra founded The Writer's Hut, an online group primarily created for published African American writers as a means of support and critique. In 2009, she founded The Writer's Cocoon Focus Group, a national network created specifically for aspiring and new writers as a means of offering valuable insight and support to those embarking on literary journeys of their own. Through Kendra's networks, her passion for writing and supporting other writers is vividly exemplified. Along with her individual travels, Kendra tours annually as a founding member of Anointed Authors on Tour.

Aside from her literary endeavors Kendra is also a health and fitness advocate. She received her professional training through AFAA and formerly worked as a group fitness instructor, teaching Step Aerobics, Kickboxing, Hi/Lo Aerobics, and Total Body Conditioning.

In 2006, while reaching beyond books in her effort to celebrate Christian artistries, Kendra created Cruisin' For Christ, a unique groundbreaking at-sea ministry (cruise) that celebrates artists who use their talents to up build the Kingdom of God.  The inaugural mission set sail in 2007, and it has been an ongoing mission ever since. At each launching, onboard are some of the Christian community's most renowned entertainers including Grammy, Stellar, Dove, GMA, and Emmy Award recognized celebrity guests.

Most recently, after fourteen years of procrastination, Kendra launched I Shall Not Die, a motivational ministry based upon her own life's testimony. Its vision is to empower people with God-inspired faith, hope, and determination to live Psalm 118:17 existences despite their present circumstances, situations, or conditions.

Having had the opportunity to write for some of the industry's most recognized publishers, and having been fortunate enough to acquaint herself with some of the nation's most respected authors and entertainers, Kendra describes herself in a single word: Blessed.

Active in the church since she was a child, Kendra currently serves as a writer in the media ministry of Total Grace Christian Center and is also president of the ministry based Pages of Grace Book Club. She is an active member of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Kendra resides in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia with her family. Following closely in her footsteps, Kendra's firstborn daughter, Brittney Holmes, is also a national bestselling author.
